Easy installation
The FG4000P Gas leak detector ELRO comes standard with all the necessary mounting material. With this set you simply attach the detector to the wall with screws.
For optimal performance, place the detector about 30cm from the ceiling on the wall. Hang the methane gas detector higher than the potential source of a gas leak. Make sure to stay at least 1.50m out of reach of a combustion device.
Maintenance
For optimal operation of the Elro gas detector, it is important to keep it clean. The easiest way is to thoroughly vacuum it out once a month with a vacuum cleaner. To do this, use an attachment with a soft brush part. Just dusting is not enough. Also make sure that you never use detergents when cleaning the detector.
We also recommend testing the functions of the gas detector every month by pressing the test button. Please note that because the actual alarm can lead to damage to your hearing when standing near it, the test volume is slightly lower than the actual alarm sound.
